Cali's Story...
**SPECIAL THANKS TO A DBC ANGEL FOR SPONSORING CALI WHILE SHE IS IN OUR PROGRAM**

Cali is about 9-12 months old with plenty of puppy energy and playfulness. She gets along with cats and other dogs. She would have to be properly introduced to children to ensure it is a good match. Cali is doing very well with her basic obedience training and socialization, and has come a long way since arriving at DBC. Once timid and reserved, she now loves to play fetch, chew on her Kong, and be petted.

If you would like to meet Cali, please fill out the pre-adoption application at www.dbcdogs.org/adoptions.html

Adoption fee: $250 includes Micro-chipping, Crate, Vaccinations, Rabies Certificate, Spay/Neuter, Heartworm Free, and Lifetime of Training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cali, a Lapeer American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Lapeer, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lapeer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lapeer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lapeer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lapeer paves the way for another one to be saved.
