Hello my name is Dudley and I am a 5 year old Tree Walker Coon hound.  I have had a rough start in life.  After one year I was rescued from a puppy mill where I was neglected and mistreated.  Finally after 2 years spent in a no kill shelter I found my Mom and a home that was all my own.  I would do anything for mom.  We love to snuggle on the couch and bed watching TV and listening to music.  I enjoy being outdoors and love to look for furry creatures to chase after and bark at.  I like to go for a walk but I need a bit of work because I tend to pull my mom and I am pretty strong since I weigh 85 pounds.  I love treats as rewards and like my toys that squeak.

My mom recently got married and as hard is it is for her to give me up, her new husband has a severe case of tinitus and my bark really hurts his ears.  I am happy for mom but we have talked and realized I need to find a new home due to her husbands health conditions.  I am loyal, loving, sweet and will protect my loved ones.  I am a hound and my bark can be loud, but I don't bark all the time, only when I see strangers and furry creatures.

Please consider giving me a loving home.  I have loved being with my mom for these past 2 years and I know it is terribly hard for her to give me up but we both know it is for the best.

Thank you so much for reading my story.

Love Dudley

About Beagles and More Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Beagles and More Rescue is an all-volunteer group dedicated to assisting dogs, particularly beagles, in need. While we love all animals, beagles have taken ahold of our hearts and simply won't let go. Working with animal advocates throughout the area, we assist both shelters and private individuals in finding a new, loving home for their pets. Each of us do work full-time outside of the home and spend the majority of our free time helping pooches from far and wide! We'll try, with all of our might, to answer your e-mail inquiries in a timely fashion

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster-based rescue and are always in need of more foster homes. If you are interested in fostering or would like to learn more about fostering please email us at beaglesandmore@yahoo.com. We will provide all veterinary care. We just ask that you provide the love, shelter, compassion and food!

Our Adoption Process...

If you see a Beagles 'n More pooch who looks like he/she would be a good fit in your family, please email us for an application. We will be happy to continue the adoption process by checking veterinary references and performing a home visit to see if this is a great fit for both you and the dog!

Our adoption fees range from $150-$200, depending on the amount of veterinary costs incurred while in foster care. Unfortunately, many of the dogs we welcome into our program have lived a neglectful life, so we take them to fantastic vets to get them happy, healthy and ready for adoption into a loving family!

Adoption fees only partially cover the expense of caring for all of the dogs that are taken in, so donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Some dogs require extensive time in foster care or lengthy medical treatment, running into the hundreds of dollars. Every cent of your donation goes directly to hands-on care of these dogs. Please e-mail us for more information on how you can help us to help them!
