*Little Girl, Big Personality!*

Peanut stole the heart of a Dogs Forever volunteer when she held out her hand towards Peanut and the little girl promptly cradled her cheek against the outstretched palm.

Peanut is from CR Animal Control, where she was surrendered by her owner, who said they can’t care for Peanut any longer. She is a 9-year-old, 9 lb. Chihuahua mix. She met DF dog Teddy, a Lhasa Apso, and they were fine. Peanut reportedly nipped at the daughter in her past home, so she needs a forever home without small children.

Our adoption fees are on a sliding scale; choose the amount that's right for you. Fees for senior dogs (7 years and older) are $90 to $125; fees for dogs 1-6 years are $125-$175; fees for dogs under 1 year of age are $150-$200.
If you are 65 years or older, the adoption fee is waived when you adopt a senior dog. All Dogs Forever dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper/parvo, tested for heartworm and Lyme disease, and microchipped.
DOGS FOREVER SAFE PLACE HAS MOVED! We are now located at 809 Rockford Road SW in Cedar Rapids, across from the outfield at Veterans Memorial Stadium. We are open every Saturday 11-3 and by appointment. Contact dogsforever@netins.net. Our new store is located next door to our shelter and sells cool stuff for dogs and people.
