Foo Dog's Story...
Meet Foo Dog! He's a senior Pekingese/Japanese Chin, around 10 years old. Somehow in his older age, this poor guy ended up in a shelter. From the looks of Foo Dog when he arrived at the shelter, he's been neglected and in need of some love for awhile. He's now been groomed, trimmed, well-fed, and taken into foster care. Alone in a shelter is no place for an old soul like Foo Dog! As he's settling in, we've found him to be a very mild-mannered, appreciative dog. Foo Dog would make a wonderful companion and deserves a second chance at love!

Foo Dog's adoption fee is $120. If you're interested in adding Foo Dog to your family, please complete our online adoption application at www.friendsoftheanimalsjessamine.org and a representative will contact you. This application does not obligate you in anyway; it's simply the first step in our adoption process and helps us ensure the best match for you and our beloved foster pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foo Dog, a Nicholasville Pekingese/Japanese Chin dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese/Japanese Chin for sale in Nicholasville, or seeking a Pekingese/Japanese Chin dog from a breeder in Nicholasville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nicholasville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nicholasville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese/Japanese Chin breeders who help with Pekingese/Japanese Chin rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nicholasville paves the way for another one to be saved.
