Bubba's Story...
Coonhound/Beagle Mix
3 years old
Currently about 35 lbs, but needs to put weight on
I've had all my vetting done!

Well, they call my Bubba. I was wondering' down them backroads of Lutrell when I was almost hit by a giant thing!!! Well the monster stopped & out came this woman. I was terrified she was going to hurt me, as everyone else had. She went to pick me up & I panicked. I dropped to the ground & rolled over.. I'm embarrassed to say I even peed on myself!

Well She picked me up & put me in the car. Then we got to this place she kept calling 'home'. That's where we realized I love other four legged friends! I enjoy the company of my doggie brothers & sisters and I love their fat cat! I am a gentle boy, hesitate to trust as I have been broken in the past. I'm coming around, I don't feel everyone will hurt me anymore & I am so excited when these awesome people play with me! I love to be a 'billy goat' and stand on their chest while laying in bed. If you say my name a lot and rub me I get really excited & make funny noises & talk to you. I was adopted out in 2010 as a cute little puppy. Well needless to say these days I'm not so little anymore. I didn't want to hunt, I would rather just hang around & play with my friends. I'm a skinny boy, i've missed a few meals but I am slowly coming back to no more bones shown! I'm neutered, microchipped, UTD on shots & HW negative. I am crate trained & working on my house training. I've never been in a house for a long as I can remember.. So this whole thing is new to me. I am wonderful in my crate! I am not a barker and my energy is pretty average. I really like this 'couch potato' she is talking about! I love going to the park, good with taking walks & very eager to learn. Won't you give me a chance to show you that I am still a cute little puppy?!

Vet reference is required!!!! Would love for a donation to be made to SOS beagle too!! They originally adopted him out in 2010.. Here ladies & gentlemen is what happens when puppies turn into dogs! They aren't 'cute & little' anymore.. No one cares to pay attention to them

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bubba, a Alamosa Coonhound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound/Beagle for sale in Alamosa, or seeking a Coonhound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Alamosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alamosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alamosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound/Beagle breeders who help with Coonhound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alamosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
