Bogey's Story...
Name: Bogey Age: 4 Dogs: Most
Gender: Male Kids: Yes Cats: Unknown
Bogey came to live with his family in North Carolina as a puppy. He was like any other boxer that loved life to the fullest. His family experienced some changes which moved them to California. Bogey and his dad moved in with family which includes a Chihuahua and collie mix. Everyone is very busy now and Bogey is not getting the time, attention and exercise a boxer craves. He is a great little guy who needs a more active engaged home. His owners love him very much and want the very best for him.
Bogey has become a little rusty with meeting new dogs but given the few minutes it takes to do a proper introduction he is great with other dogs. He can be pretty excited at first around little kids but given a little guidance he is just great. Bogey is housebroken and good on leash. He knows his basic commands like sit, down, stay and “settle”. This handsome young man is going to make someone a very great companion.
Bogey is not at BRLA; if you would like to meet him please ask for him by name on your adoption application so we can set up a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bogey, a Encino Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Encino, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
