Brando's Story...
Name: Brando Age: 2 Dogs: Some
Gender: Male Kids: Older Cats: No
We know a lot about Brando and he needs a special home to be a happy little boy. He originally came to BRLA from a home with kids and dogs but their neighbors had chickens. Brando would jump the fence to get at the chickens. They could not contain him so they surrendered him.
At BRLA, Brando shut down and stayed curled up in a ball. A volunteer finally coaxed him out and discovered although scared to death he was a nice boy. He bonded quickly with this volunteer and he has learned to trust and have fun again thanks to the help of all the BRLA volunteers who spend time walking and playing with him. He is now the life of the party and love to play tug of war and run like the wind.

His original family revealed that Brando was bossy with food and that he was reactive to overly excited dogs. They dealt with both these issues in the home. He is insecure and a good leader will give him the confidence he needs. He has been working with many BRLA volunteers and is working on meeting new people but he plays like a normal pup.
He is super affectionate and loves to cuddle. He slept in bed with the children he lived with. He goes crazy for toys and can be seen tossing them in the air by himself to entertain himself. Tug of war is Brando's absolute favorite game in the whole wide world.
Brando was adopted but became very protective of his owners and was weary of strangers. His unpredictability became too much and he is back at BRLA looking for someone who can help this beautiful boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brando, a Encino Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Encino, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
