My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peggy is a wonderful Staffordshire bull terrier looking for a forever home. She loves to roll around in the grass – backwards, frontwards, sideways – she is likely to go through all positions as she joyfully plays in the yard. When she comes upon a grassy hill she will dive down it face first, dragging her stomach and legs behind her, like a child on a sled and just as gleeful! Peggy has that wonderful bully grin and is sure to make you smile. She is a very quiet girl and does not bark. She does have an adorable grunt that she makes from time to time which sounds just like a pig! It is really very cute! Peggy was adopted from us several years ago and slept in the bed with a teenaged girl that was her best friend. The girl went away to college, family circumstances changed; now Peggy needs to find a new home. Peggy is crate-trained and has wonderful house manners. She is very calm inside and will be a great companion and friend. If you pick up the leash she will come right over knowing that she will get to do one of her favorite things – take a walk! She walks fabulously on lead and is very mindful. Peggy ignores our cats for the most part but if they run she tries to chase. She does ok with other dogs, especially those that are smaller than her, but would be best as an only dog. To meet Peggy please complete our adoption application form at www.cedarfarmrescue.com then call 336.251.8877 to set up a time to meet her. We meet families at our adoption center in downtown Mocksville by appointment only. Appointments are generally made between the hours of 12 noon and 4 pm or after 7 pm any day of the week, holidays included. Peggy is 6 years old and weighs 44 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all of her shots. She is heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks.
