From the Foster: My name is Sheyenne; I answer to Shey too! I am crate trained and house broken. I am a puppy mill dog. I was rescued with my last litter of babies. Five of them. They were pretty puppies. I love a routine. I am learning about things, actually everything. I had lots of babies, so I didn’t get out much.
I have been to a basic obedience class. Well I did what they wanted on the last night. I know sit, down, leave it, stop, door and back. I only use those words when I want to. I live with cats and dogs. The cats hog the good spots on the couch. Note: If you quietly and very slowly lay next to them they let you stay.
I like playing fetch so much! Please say you like fetch too?! It can be your sock rolled up, whatever it is, I will get it for you. I love rawhides! I like my food a lot. I lost my figure so I get mine measured into a bowl and now know I have to wait for it. My foster siblings all eat out of one bowl taking turns. I am not real good at that yet but I have learned when we get treats and when I get a little pushy and foster mom says my name (um several times) it brings me back to the task at hand and I wait till it’s my turn. I also love peanut butter, just saying. I love to snuggle on the couch and I give kisses.
Now, truth be told, I have had to work up to all this and new stuff and people are a little scary. Foster mom says that there are patient people out there. If you are one of the patient people and can get me out and about to see the world (um that would be at my pace) I have short legs, really short legs. I prefer to be asked to do things, not told. New things are not so scary when treats are involved, just saying.
If you are one of those patient humans and one that might be out and about maybe you’d like me? To meet me please fill out an application.
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
