My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gunnar is an extremely intelligent, 2 year old, neutered male Golden Retriever. You can tell by looking into his eyes that it bothers him he can't talk. This is a fairly high drive dog that needs a job. Give him something to do and he does it with gusto!

Gunnar is housetrained and crate trained. He is good for his bath and enjoys being brushed and will even tolerate a blow dryer! Gunnar is not only handsome, and smart, he is happy, sensitive and affectionate. He gets along well with other dogs.

This dog needs an active family. He would be great at agility or other dog sports. He loves to tug and is very fast. He does need daily exercise. If he doesn't get it, he is not happy. As I sit typing this he is bringing me his tug toy and reminding me we haven't played yet this morning.

Please have an excercise plan in mind before applying to adopt Gunnar. He would also benefit from an obedience class.

He is good on leash, but sometimes needs to be reminded not to pull. Gunnar knows his basic obedience and loves to play with toys and fetch. He is enthusiastic about everything he does.

Gunnar's adoption fee is $150. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped, and will come with a collar and ID tag.

If you are interested in possibly adopting Gunnar, please email us for an adoption application today. Upon approval and home visit, adopters will be asked to sign a contract and pay an adoption fee (which covers the cost of spay/neuter, vaccinations and other necessities).
