Wiley's Story...
Courtesy Listing

"Wiley" is a beautiful bear of a dog! So lovely, friendly, curious and intelligent. He loves ALL people and their love & attention. He is about 50 lbs, 4 yrs. old, very housebroken and sweet to other animals. "Wiley" is predominantly Shepard in appearance and has had all his shots, been neutered, wormed & is clear of heartworm.

"Wiley" walks well on a leash (but is strong), rides very well in the car, and would make a great camping dog or farm dog (or just a stretch-out-by-the- fire dog). He is very attentive to commands. He snaps pretty excitedly at bisquits or treats, so just throw them to him!! "Wiley" is also terribly afraid of thunderstorms, and would do well to be kenneled at those times.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wiley, a Winston-Salem Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
