My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rescue can be challenging . . . . it would be great if all the dogs we took in were perfect and easy to adopt out. But there are times when this is not the case, and we end up with dogs that require a large measure of patience and devotion. Tobie is just such a dog. We are looking for just the right adopter for our Tobie. Tobie is a wonderful dog who is affectionate and becomes very devoted to his person. He is very handsome and a wonderful size, about 70 lbs. He will need a home with someone who is home a lot and can provide a very stable, consistent routine. Knowledge of German Shepherds will also be very helpful. He prefers the company of female dogs and we think a home without cats will be best for Tobie. ............................Tobie will spin after his “tail” and at times bark a single bark with each spin. We are working with a vet and behaviorist and having some success with various treatments. His foster mom is very fond of him and is working very hard to help him. The more stable his environment, the less he stresses and the less he focuses on his tail and the more he improves. Tobie has had a rough life with very little direction, affection or attention. We are really hoping there is someone out there who has the time, patience and the heart to take Tobie into their life . . . . .....................................
If you are interested in meeting Tobie and providing a loving, forever home, please complete an adoption application at http://www.northwestgermanshepherd.org. The adoption donation ranges from $150 to $550 and is based on the age of the dog. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care, and adoption of our dogs. Adoption fees may be tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations and are microchipped
