Dash's Story...
Dash is a 10 year old Cocker Spaniel whose owner recently died. Dash is a calm and gentle soul who would like to find a calm and gentle companion... he will be your true-blue friend. His foster calls him "an absolute LOVE" who deserves extra special TLC. He's sweet-tempered and wants to be near you... he finds his foster mom wherever she is and just lays near her. Although his foster does not have children, he has been just as sweet-natured with children he has met so far. Dash is house-trained. Don't pass over Dash because of his age. If you give him a chance, you will surely never regret it. If you would like to meet Dash and consider making him a part of your family, complete an application at www.henricohumane.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dash, a Richmond Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
