Olive - Christine's Story...
Olive is a darling Terrier mix born in June 2013. Her mom, Georgia, is a super sweet 26 pound Terrier mix (in photo #3).

Olive is currently living in a foster home where she's socializing with people and other animals, and she's also practicing good doggy behaviors. Olive is a little angel. She is the runt of the litter but isn't afraid to jump in with all four paws and play with the big dogs. She will run, romp and play until it’s time for her beauty sleep. This doesn't take too long, of course, because she is a puppy. Yes, she is a master at the puppy nap. When she awakens, she loves to be held and played with.

Her sweet eyes are one of her best features. They can melt even the toughest exterior. She can be a little shy but won’t shy away from affection. If you sit down with her, she will do her very best to let you know that you are special in her eyes.

If this sweetie sounds like a good match for you please fill out an application today!

****Her adoption fee is $325.****

The Animal Rescue Project ( is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues—and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.

All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws.

Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $25 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization.

The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
