Polly's Story...
Polly is an adventurous, curious and friendly pup. She is learning basic puppy manners but still needs some gentle reminders. This little sweetheart will be a wonderful companion if you are willing to put in some time to train her as she is still all pup. She likes to play with her foster's other dogs and enjoys playing with toys. She likes bones too, but isn't too good at sharing and can sometimes be a bit possessive with her things. She is being potty trained and she sleeps in a crate at night. However, she doesn't like being crated during the day and has some separation anxiety when her people are away. Because of this Polly would be ideal for someone who either is home during the day or works from home, especially while she is still a young puppy. She is smart and responsive to training and loves to go on walks and displays pretty good leash manners for her age.

She has a good personality and has some of her natural hound instincts of being curious and her lab instincts of liking to be cuddled and pet especially at night when she's tired. She's a beautiful little girl with brindled Plott hound markings. She would probably feel most comfortable with having another pal to play with at her house and would do well with a patient owner willing to train her while she is still young. Polly is a sweetheart and is eager to get settled into her furever home. Polly is fostered with Jessica.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly, a Largo Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound for sale in Largo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound puppy from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
