Bert's Story...
My story: Hi, I'm Bert! I was born outside in a colony and brought to St. Francis when iI was only about 4 weeks old. I was very timid but now that I've been in a foster home for awhile I've really warmed up to humans ...I love to play with my 3 siblings and snuggle up on the sofa with my foster mom. I'm good with dogs who like kitties too! Please consider me and maybe one of my siblings for your new furry friends.
Good with Cats: Yes | Good with Dogs: Unknown | Good with Children: Unknown

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bert, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
