found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.
Adorable little Murphy is very affectionate with his chosen person and gets along great with other dogs. He has discovered toys and loves to play with small dogs. He will be in your lap the second you sit down, he is great at cuddling, will follow you everywhere and would love to sleep in bed with you at night. He loves playing outside and needs a very securely fenced yard.
Murphy prefers women, but likes gentle, soft spoken men too. He bonds quickly with one person and is VERY wary of everyone else until he gets to know them. He would do best in a quiet home with an experienced pet owner who can help him improve his self confidence. Since he barks at noises, children and visitors, he would not be a good choice for apartment life. Murphy would love to have a securely fenced yard, a small dog playmate and a female person that works from home. Because of his behavior toward other people, taking him to work is not recommended. In addition, the activity and noises created by children make him very nervous and he might nip.
He weighs just 7.8 lbs and was born on 6/19/10. He is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, heart worm negative and taking preventative. He is house trained to potty pads and going outside but still has the urge to mark when he is nervous or upset. Murphy is being fostered in Nauvoo, IL and only applications within driving distance will be considered. Because of his small size, Murphy will not be placed in a home with large dogs and he does not do well with children of any age.
We never place our dogs in homes with invisible (electric) fencing & we never ship our dogs in cargo or transport them to adoptive homes. Doggy doors are OK as long as they are secured at night and when you are gone. Murphy is small enough to be carried away by a large hawk, coyote or other predator so should never be outside alone.
