My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sweetie- a true southern gentleman! If only this 7 1/2 year , 65 lb boy could talk- I'm sure he would have some stories to tell. His fosters tell us he is the kindest, most loving dog they have ever come across. It is difficult for them to let him come up north, but we promised them we would find this gem of a dog an amazing family to love and cherish him. Who knows how such a noble dog found his way into a high kill shelter- but he did and was moments away from being euthanized. Luckily for Sweetie, fate intervened and he was brought to a sanctuary. Instantly, he has become a beloved favorite of everyone he meets. He is low energy, very well mannered, polite, gets along great with people- young and old, and loves to interact with other dogs. He has not been cat tested. Sweetie has been waiting for a long time to find a family who will care for and cherish him in his senior years. However, even though he is 7 1/2 he is in great health and is a puppy at heart. If you think you have what it takes to make Sweetie's dream come true, than contact Ellen at doubledogellen@att.net to request an application and begin the adoption process. Sweetie is currently in SC and will arrive in CT on 8/24. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.
