SCUFFY's Story...
Scuffy is another cute and tiny baby that was picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. Where are all these teeny tiny dogs coming from? And Scuffy is little - at 2 years old, fully grown, he weighs only 4 pounds! Scuffy is playful and seems to like other dogs his size. If you like small Chi's come to the shelter because we have quite a few. Of course they are very darling and popular so they probably won't have to wait long for a forever home. Scuffy is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on shots. He will be micro-chipped upon adoption. Scuffy is in a Temporary Cage without a number, so if you call or come to see him, make sure you bring his ID # 558299 so the staff can help you find him.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt SCUFFY. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SCUFFY, a Marietta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
