Maggie III's Story...
I’m Miss Maggie, and let me admit up front that I am a complete fool for belly rubs. I’m a perfect age at about 6-7, spayed, healthy and energetic. At 65 pounds I have the figure as well as the face of a model, and I ride well in the car and know the “sit” command. Like so many of my brothers and sisters waiting for homes through Adopt-a-Golden, I was surrendered through no fault of my own or my owner’s. Circumstances over which people have no control just happen unfortunately, and my owner had some health issues that meant giving me up. I am eager to love and anxious to play and dreaming of finding a forever home. Adventures together await us, I just know that they do, and we should not waste a day on getting started. Your soon to be forever friend, Maggie Please visit me at www.adoptagoldenbirmingham.com or call 205-908-1566 or email ashawrn@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie III, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
