Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update May 2014
Meadow is finally heartworm free! She has tested negative twice and we can really see the difference in her. She is so much happier and has more energy. Her new favorite pastime is going for walks with brief periods of "sprinting" =)
Meadow is A LOT more comfortable around people and absolutely LOVES getting petted and "loved on". She comes running into the house when her name is called, which is a huge breakthrough (and big difference from having to physically lead her in or convince her to come in).
Meadow has experienced laying on her first doggy bed and loves it. Her favorite inside spot is cuddled up on a fluffy one underneath the pool table for cover. She has no crate training, but some of her hang outs lead us to believe she may like the safe feeling of the crate. She loves inside and outside equally. On a pretty day, she will lay out for hours enjoying nature, her beautiful eyes now seeing everything.
Meadow is the sweetest, most loving friend you could ask for. So far she hasn't been interested in any toys ,so you won't need a big toy box. She seems to be enjoying catching up on all the years of missed love and attention. She has a few teeth missing but the vet says it's just from neglect, not a problem for her though. She has NEVER torn up anything or made one single mess. She is always there, with a happy tail, ready to give and receive love. Then will nap patiently awaiting your next playtime.
Please apply...and change a life, yours and hers : )
End May 2014 Update
Update 8-20-2013
She is now coming in the house routinely with no hesitation. She is learning the joys of a real home. Meadow and May now have had their shots, including Rabies and DHLP. Mom tested positive for heartworm, to be expected given her life as a stray. She will need corrective eye surgery as well as HW treatment. Both are being spayed next week. She has the eye problem where the lids turn in and eyes irritated by her eye lashes.
End Update
Meadow has come a long way! She is no longer scared to come in the house and doesn't run from the broom. She now makes herself comfortable on the couch and sleeps as I sweep around her. Meadow had entropian in both eyes, which means her eyelashes grew inward and were constantly rubbing in her eyes. She could hardly see, it bothered her so much and that is why in most of her pictures she had her eyes closed. But now she has healed from surgery, she is so happy and her beautiful eyes don't miss a thing!

Meadow absolutely LOVES to cuddle and be loved on. She gives paw to get your attention and is very polite when taking treats. She seems to get along well with other dogs and really loves to play with playful dogs. Meadow is still being a great mommy to May, keeping her clean and giving up food for her. They spend hours playing together, but have also grown more independent of each other. Meadow had a tough first few years of her life, but she's ready for a second start with her new loving, forever home.
Meadow has a happy tail most of the time. But she just looks sad in her pictures, she keeps her head down a lot and gives paw. Kinda like "dont hurt me, please love me". The picture of her in the car on her way home from eye stitch removal was the happiest I have seen her. But I can imagine how she felt after 2 weeks of bumping into stuff with the e-collar.
Please give Miss Meadow a chance, she really is deserving and is such a happy sweet girl who just wants to love on people now that she knows what love is!!
