SAMIE's Story...
If you are looking for a gentle and well-mannered adult dog then Samie is the dog for you. She has lived her whole life at our animal sanctuary in West VA where she is the staff favorite. She gets along with the other dogs, follows the volunteers around the facility, and hangs out quietly in the exercise yard. She likes all people and other animals. She has waited her whole life for a family and we are hoping to finally give that to her. It would be such a shame for a fine dog like Samie to live her whole life in a shelter. Please consider an adult dog (about 5 years old) as your next pet. Samie has a lot of love to give and would be an excellent companion for a retired person or for a family with or without children. She is very mellow and laid back. Mastiff Mix.

Spayed/Neutered • Up-to-date with routine shots • Housetrained • Primary color: Red, Chestnut or Orange • Coat length: Medium

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SAMIE, a Bartonsville Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Bartonsville, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Bartonsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bartonsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bartonsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bartonsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
