Sangria's Story...
Sangria is an absolutely amazing dog! She has overcome so much! Sangria was turned into a local shelter because her owners couldn’t afford to give her the medical attention she needed. Turns out, she had a piece of wire tied around her leg. It was imbedded and infected. Then Sangria developed a nasty respiratory infection and almost didn’t survive. On September 20, Sangria had to have her leg amputated. She's doing great, fully recovered and ready for her FORever Home! Despite her rough start, Sangria is a loving, sweet, wonderful dog. She is a Boxer mix, and will be spayed, vaccinated, micro chipped in just a few days. She is crate trained, and we are working on basic obedience commands now. She is almost house trained and is learning sit, stay, down and come. Sangria is about 10 months old. If you want a very attached companion, Sangria is your girl. She is great with kids and other dogs. Sangria eats her meals in her crate because she likes her food a bit too much! She is fostered in Huntsville, Al.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sangria, a Huntsville Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
