My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING for GRACIE. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact Tamara @ (541) 915-0073
Here is Gracie's bio from owner: Gracie is a female mini short hair, brown, grey face, neutered, about 13 lbs, with no impairments other than being about 14 years old. I'm giving her up because I've had to move and my new place won't take dogs, and friends and family can't accommodate her. Her vet records are in storage, but she is due for shots & rabies. For her age, she's pretty healthy - does have some allergies (no skin problems), and did have disc surgery 10 years ago ( no problems since); not on any medications now. She does go potty outdoors, and will go to the door and let you know she need to get outside. She's used to a leash, and travels well in a car. Last vet visit they noted that her teeth are aging, but she still eats dry dog food with no issues as well as whatever treats (human food) she can beg. Generally receptive to most people, including kids, who love to pet her - some dogs she barks at, others she likes immediately. Gracie likes to be with her human, sitting on the couch with people. She still has some of the feistiness a dachs has. She's not had formal training, but does listen - doesn't run fast, so she's easy to have outdoors.. However, she does follow her nose, not necessarily paying attention to where it leads her. Shorter walks suit her - not up for longer distances or hiking trips.
