Juneaux's Story...
What do you get when you combine the capital of Alaska with the bayous of South Louisiana? Well, Sha, you get me, Juneaux! Hi! My name is Juneaux and I am an Siberian Husky. My approximate date of birth is May 2012. I am heartworm negative, utd on shots, and neutered. I get along with my fellow foster dogs of different shapes and sizes. I am good around children of all ages. I walk well on a leash. I had a rough start in life. I am not sure what happened to my owners. They must have forgotten to pack me when they moved. They left no forwarding address so I was left to fend for myself in the street until a nice lady picked me up. The nice lady could not afford to keep me since she already had several dogs so that is how I wound up here among all of these good people. So here I am now in a foster home waiting patiently on my forever home. Don’t expect me to run in the Iditarod or pull a sled. I would rather be near my beloved human. So come pass a good time with me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juneaux, a Baton Rouge Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
