My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 8/7/201

Turlough is back in rescue and looking for his perfect forever home. Turlough is 6-7 years old and is a smooth coated Border Collie mix. He's not a large dog. Turlough is a sweet and busy guy who needs a secure fence. When he gets bored, he is very good at getting under or over a fence to find something to do! (usually he ends up at a neighbor's house for pets and attention) Tur has not shown any separation anxiety, he just gets bored and wants to find something to do. His family worries about him getting hit by a car when he gets out, so Turlough is again looking for his perfect forever home. This guy isn't super hyper, but he does need something to do. He would do great with a retired couple, someone who is home during the day, or someone who can exercise him before leaving for work and after returning home from work. He cannot have access to the backyard (via dog door, etc.) while you are gone during the day, as he will go exploring if he gets bored.

Here's what Turlough's current owner has to say about him:Turlough is about the sweetest dog I've ever met. He is amazing with kids! He loves to play with other dogs, big and small! He loves people! He's a lover not a fighter! Its pretty clear that he has been abused as he can be quite timid when he thinks someone is coming at him. I've never seen him be aggressive toward anyone. He can stay in the house all day, no worries of him urinating or tearing anything up (he did mark his territory inside the first day here, but after being corrected once he never did it again). He does, however, do best when he is around people and other dogs who will play with him throughout the day. He is an escape artist and will jump, climb, dig or contort himself to get out of the yard when he gets bored. He would be fabulous as a farm dog or with a stay-at-home mom or a retired couple, especially if he has some room to roam. I will miss Turlough a lot and know he will make a great best friend for the right family!

Tur is a great dog with a nice personality. He's looking for a home who can keep him busy and involve him in their daily lives. you can see a video of Tur on our website www.nebraskabordercollierescue.com
