Ruby's Story...

Ruby  $50 adoption fee
8 months old
Ruby was signed over to our shelter when her previous owner said she was too big. Her previous owner did let us know that she was mostly an outside dog, does well with children and loves other dogs. Ruby seems like another case of a poor sweet dog that was left outside and never worked with. She is so affectionate and will climb right up into your lap if you sit down. She just wants to be part of the family and follow you around wherever you go. Ruby is still just a baby and wants a fun and loving forever home to chase around and love on.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Fruit Heights Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
