Drake's Story...
I’m a love bug & such a good boy. My name’s Drake, a 7 year old Lab mix. My family tearfully gave me up after 6 years because they’ve relocated. I don’t have much time to find a new family, so I want to tell you all about me. I’m an incredibly good-natured, sweet guy. If you’re searching for an affectionate dog, I love to give hugs & cuddle close. I’d spend my days looking at you adoringly. I’m playful & enjoy running, but equally good at hanging out on the sofa. I am great with young children & good with other dogs, too. Really, I’m a perfect companion. I’m housebroken, healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations & heartworm/Lyme tested. I have lots of love to give. Please contact for an adoption application to make me a part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drake, a Radford Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Radford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
