Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The first step is to fill out an application. You will find it here at: http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.
We have no physical shelter but are a 100% volunteer foster home based organization.
Crusty Jones, aka C.J. haunted us for days when we saw him at animal control. He was about 10weeks old and his demodex mange was so bad it looked painful. He had NO hair and was covered in cuts and crust. He was tiny, crusty, but spunky and sweet.
Today CJ is grown up and healed. He is about 65lbs. A little moose of a boy. He is very affectionate and is working on his puppy manners when meeting new people. He knows sit, down, stay, off, and is great at playing fetch. He brings it back and drops it at your feet. He is very eager to please and is food and toy motivated.
He wants to be in your lap, laying on or near you, giving kisses and getting belly rubs.
We had CJ's DNA done and he is mixed with Staffy and Greyhound!
CJ plays so well with all young dogs and most adult dogs but doesn't seem to care for dogs who are very shy, anxious, or nervous.
No Cats. No small children, children in their teens ok.
CJ deserves a chance and a home of his own…is it with you?

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think what is more important is to get to know each dog as an individual and then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personality in order to determine if they will make a good companion based on your lifestyle. We dot like a dog to be "labeled". Dog behavior is not a breed thing exclusively. It is a complex mix of nature and nurture.
