Happy Gilmore's Story...
Hi, my name is Happy Gilmore. My foster mom named me this since I am a squiggly wiggly ball of happy kisses!! I am only 8 months old, a terrier/dachshund mix, approximately 18 lbs, very smart, and I LOVE everything!! I did have a rough start in life; they found me as a stray with a very small collar embedded in my neck. They removed it and I am all healed up now. But no worries, I don’t let that stop me from enjoying life I get along great with all of my foster brothers and sisters (cats & dogs), and LOVE kids!! I am completely up to date on my vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and de wormed. All that is left is to love me. Will you be my fur-ever family?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy Gilmore, a Gurnee Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund for sale in Gurnee, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Gurnee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gurnee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gurnee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gurnee paves the way for another one to be saved.
