Mango's Story...
Hi! I'm Mango! I'm about 5-6 months old and came from a hoarding situation. It was very crowded there and was hard for me to get attention, but am enjoying the space and learning to appreciate love in my new foster home. I'm not a huge fan of going to adoption events, but go anyway since I am really looking forward to finding my forever home. I love to climb and sit on the shelf, or anywhere high up really, where I can look over the goings on with my foster mommy and other animal companions. I hope to meet you soon, and hope even more you'd like to take me home with you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mango, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
