My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Daisy and I’m a pointer/beagle/bassett mix who is 12 weeks old. I’m what they call a low rider and as cute as can be and full of energy says my foster mom. I am about 13 lbs right now and I will probably be a smaller size dog, maybe 20-30 lbs when I’m full grown. My brother Gatsby and my mom Chancy and I found ourselves in a shelter when we were just babies. My mom took really good care of us and she has found her forever home so now it’s our turn.

I love to give kisses and hang out and wrestle with my brother as well as the other doggies in my foster home. I might be small but I can hang with the big dogs at my foster home no problem. Sometimes I like to act like I am as big as they are and these short legs still let me keep up with them when we are chasing in the back yard. I have been working really hard on my crate/pen training and doing really well. I have only had a couple accidents at night time in the last 2 weeks, so house training should be a breeze as long as my new family lets me out a lot. I am just a baby so patience and time are keys to me being successful. I do have cats in my foster home but they only come around every now and again but when they do, I want to play with them, but they don’t always want to play with me and I can’t understand why, so I find someone else to play with. I also have 2 children (a 6 year old and a 20 month old) in my foster home that I do very well with. I do like to steal the stuffed animals right out of the baby’s hand and also another doggy’s mouth, they have to learn to share anyway, so I figure I am helping out. I would love to have a doggy playmate but I would also be ok as an only fur member. I love to be outside so a fenced in back yard is a must. Even though I love my foster family, I can’t wait to find a family of my own that I can snuggle on the couch with. Is that with you?

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.

Please complete an online application at www.rescueAhart.org if you'd like to meet me. Thanks!
