My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a lively, playful small dog? A young guy with sweet trusting eyes and plenty of love to give? Snoopy may be your pup!

The Snoopster is a small male hound/beagle type – he may have some blue tick hound in his background. He weighs only about 20 lbs. and would be the perfect companion for another small to medium active dog. He’s a little ADHD – alert, interested, and usually ON!

Snoopy is most likely between eight and twelve months old. He’s healthy and fully vetted – neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and is heartworm negative (on Trifexis). He’s small enough to come snuggle beside you, and you’ll love with the longest, softest velvet ears you’ve ever touched!

He plays really well with somewhat larger dogs and Snoopy has been cat tested - he likes to chase them a little but doesn't mean any harm. He makes human friends easily too!

Snoopy will go potty outside when offered the opportunity - he still has an occasional accidents because he's a pup.. He has begun obedience training and is doing well. He has learned to sit on command and is making great progress with “stay” and walking calmly on a leash (“heel”). He is very eager to please – he is so happy when he figures out what you want him to do!

Snoopy would do best with at least one other playful dog (or an active lifestyle) so he’ll get lots of playtime. Snoopy needs plenty of exercise, so his ideal home will have a fenced yard where he can run around freely for a while every day.

If you’d like to meet Snoopy or have questions for his foster mom, email info@FORrescue.net and ask about Snoopy! He's fostered in Huntsville, AL.
