Megan ADOPTED!!'s Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Megan ADOPTED!!'s Story...
I am the cutest thing. I am a bit smaller than your average corgi (right now I weigh about 17 lbs but I really could lose a pound or two). So you get all the great corgi personality in an extra cute, smaller package. I am very, very affectionate and love to be with people BUT I am not good with other animals so I do need to be the only dog in my family. I am working on this and getting a little better but I forget my manners sometimes. I know how to sit and come when called (I am very good off the leash but because I am a chaser by nature I would do best with a fenced yard or daily walks on the leash). If you are looking for a loyal companion who will always be by your side and would love to come on car rides and just be with you I hope you will come and meet me because I am extra special!

Pembroke Welsh Corgis are very affectionate, love to be involved in the family, and tend to follow wherever their owners go. They have a great desire to please their owners, thus making them eager to learn and train. The dogs are easy to train and are ranked as the eleventh smartest dog in Stanley Coren's The Intelligence of Dogs. Besides herding, they also function as watchdogs due to their alertness and tendency to bark only as needed. Most Pembrokes will seek the attention of everyone they meet and behave well around children and other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Megan ADOPTED!!, a Antioch Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Antioch, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Antioch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Antioch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Antioch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Antioch paves the way for another one to be saved.
