Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sable- a stunning 1 year old German Shepherd mix. Sable was emaciated when she was rescued, but is quickly gaining weight. She currently weighs 44 lbs. We don't know how Sable turned up in a high kill shelter in SC, but we do know she was moments away from death. Fate intervened and a volunteer saw this sweet, skinny and frightened little girl hiding is the corner of her cage. Something in her eyes seemed to plead to help us save her- and we did! Today Sable is living in a foster home and is thriving. She is described as having a medium energy level with a sweet and gentle temperament. Sable loves getting scratches and belly rubs and throughly enjoys the attention she is now getting. She gets along great with other dogs but so far is always the submissive one. She is learning how to walk on a lead and is even learning how to play! Sable has been waiting patiently for a forever home and we promised her it was now her turn. If you think you have what it takes to change Sable's life forever then contact Ellen at doubledogellen@att.net right away to request an application and begin the adoption process. Sable is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She is currently in SC and will be brought to New England on 9/7. Her adoption fee is $450.
