Dottie's Story...
Dottie is a beautiful wheaten terrier mix, she has a gorgeous coat that we had to shave partially down die to severe matting, but it is growing back nicely, she is approx 3 yrs old and 27 lbs, she has been treated for heart worms and is on a monthly preventative, she has a very sweet personality, she gets along well with the other dogs and seems to be fairly well house trained, she does well on a leash and loves to ride in the car,she is a really sweet and well behaved girl that will make a great family dog.. she needs a bit of training on greeting you when you come home as she likes to jump up and therefore may not be suitable for a family with toddlers/young ones

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a Norwalk Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
