Man's Story...
Alleys are for trash cans, not for doggies! Meet Man (A20819202) ! Man is a 6-12 month old male playful terrier mix found in an alley in the Nicetown section of the city. Poor guy came into the shelter super hungry but is now getting 2 squares a day at the shelter. He is very affectionate and would make a fabulous friend. Man would enjoy a family with time to walk him and feed him lots of treats. What? YOU have time to walk him and feed him lots of yummy treats? Hurry down to meet your new MAN!

Act quickly to adopt Man. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Man, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
