Kendo's Story...
KENDO
This adorable ebony boy is Kendo (A20648726). He was surrendered to ACCT when his owner could no longer care for him, but Kendo’s not letting this change of fate get him down! He’s an enthusiastic, spunky boy who loves to run and play in the dog runs and entertain the volunteers and staff here with his silly antics! He’s also still a young, neutered boy at only 6 to 12 months old, and is 35 lbs, so he likely still has some growing to do. Kendo is treat motivated and wants to learn. He would be great for an active adopter looking for a running partner or fetch buddy.

Act quickly to adopt Kendo. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kendo, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
