DeeDee's Story...
DeeDee was found wandering around on a country road. She had obviously given birth recently, she was still full of milk. There was no sight of her puppies and no one claimed her or knew where she came from. We have spent the last two weeks evaluating her and her social skills are impeccable. She gets along great with all other dogs, loves people and would love to be somebody's bed buddy. She is about 3 years old, very happy, outgoing and looking for a great place to snuggle. She was just spayed and had vaccinations, she is all ready to find a home where she can be the queen. She is dog door trained too. Contact us at or 931-698-0303 to schedule a time to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DeeDee, a Columbia Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
