Meet little Benjamin. He is about 4.5 yrs old and weighs around 6.5 pounds. He came from a local kill shelter where he ended up as a stray and no one ever came to claim him. He loves playing with toys and is crate trained. He is slow to warm up to new people, but can be a lovable little guy once you earn his trust. We believe he was mistreated in his previous home, which makes him distrustful of people so we are looking for a home with breed experience and lots of patience. Even with people he trusts he has his moments and will try and bite if pushed. He is currently living in a foster home where he gets along with most of the other dogs. He can be possessive over his food and his people, though, so he would probably do best with someone experienced in managing those types of behaviors. He also can be territorial and does exhibit marking behavior around the other dogs. He will be a project for someone, but so worth it when he climbs up in your lap and nuzzles your neck or rolls over for belly rubs. He has had a rough start in life and really deserves a loving home that will teach him all the joys of being a cherished pet. We will only place him in an all adult experienced home that understands he is going to need proper management. Benji's adoption fee of $150 helps cover the cost of his veterinary care.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the "Adoption Process" tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (as appropriate), dewormed, fecal tested, and microchipped.

About Perfect Pooches Adoption Agency

About Our Rescue Group...

A rescue organization dedicated to helping you locate and adopt your "perfect" pooch.
No one, or nothing, is perfect....this includes dogs, but we firmly believe that there is a "perfect" dog for everyone. This doesn't mean our dogs will not have accidents in the house, or bark at times you don't want them to, or chew on your good shoes. They are dogs and they will require training and structure, but their flaws make them truly unique, beautiful, and "perfect" for the right family.

Perfect Pooches Adoption Agency (PPAA) is dedicated to working with each family to ensure we try to find a dog that will be a match with your lifestyle, needs, and wants. If we do not currently have a dog that is a match we will do our best to help approved adopters locate a dog that would be a better fit.

Our pooches are rescue dogs that deserve a second chance. Please consider opening your heart and home to a new companion today!
