Harvey's Story...
Hi, my name is Harvey and I am a Lab/Australian Shepherd mix. My foster mom, Lacey, says that I am a fun loving boy who loves to cuddle with my people. I love any and everyone who will play with me! I was rescued as a 6 day old puppy after my mom was hit and killed by a car. As you can see in my picture, I do have some hair loss due to skin infections from living on the street, but the good news is that the vet says that the infection is all gone and now I am just waiting for my beautiful coat to grow back. I am told that I am a super smart boy who learns fast. I love raw hide bones and toes! My foster family loves to talk to me because I howl and talk back...I am told that it is really cute!!! I get along great with other dogs and kids. I am currently working on housebreaking and basic manners. If you are looking for a loyal guy to be your friend for life, look no further!! Apply to adopt me today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Walker Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Walker, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Walker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walker paves the way for another one to be saved.
