My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a Shelter Pull Kitty! This means that when you adopt me, FOF can save another kitty from a high kill county shelter.'

Izzy was adopted from us in the spring of 2014 but her adoptive family travels and wanted to take her on the road. Izzy likes to stay at home and was too stressed with that lifestyle, so they brought her back to us. Izzy does ok with other cats who are laid back and non-dominant. She has anxiety when too many other cats are around (more than 1-2 others) and she over-grooms herself as a result. Izzy really is a sweet and affectionate girl and deserves someone who will commit to her. Please come help de-stress this sweet girl!

A note from her former foster mom: Izzy came to me a friendly, but scared, underweight, sick, and quiet cat. Her meows were so soft they were almost silent. Her eyes soft and kind...and her mothering nature unlike any cat I'd ever seen. With Izzy came her sweet 4 kittens - 2 boys and 2 girls.(A young mom having been born herself around 10/2012) I quickly learned that her favorite thing is to receive a good petting, but her focus was always on one thing: Making sure her babies were cared-for. As the babies grew her personality shined. She remained sweet as ever, but she became playful, affectionate, smart, and evidently very loyal. She understands no, and doesn't repeat the same action after being told no even once. She has been wonderful with every kitten fostered around her... she treated them like they were her own. When they cried, she came running even though they weren't hers. She cleaned them, cuddled with them, and played with them. Every kitten that has passed through my home has stolen her heart. When they leave, I can hear her cries throughout the house while she looks for them. Her heart is most definitely in the right place! But that doesn't take away from her love for humans. When you walk in the door she is the first to greet you -- excited you are finally home. She has always been friendly with every person who has come in her path right away. She is by far one of the most well-behaved, caring, loving, and affectionate cats I've ever come across. She truly is one of a kind!

All of our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites.
