Holly's Story...
Holly’s life story reads like ongoing drama. She was known as Zahra in January 2012 and came to Animatch along with several other puppy mill dogs. Quiet, shy, reclusive, and not used to being handled, she was adopted. Unfortunately, shortly after going to her new home, Holly went missing one day. Like many mill dogs, she was skittish and when given the opportunity, she fled and never looked back. Several weeks later the Good Samaritan who had picked her up saw her photo on a website and contacted us. Since her guardian felt that Holly had bonded with the couple and Holly didn’t need another change in her life, Holly stayed with them. Sadly, they are now moving out of the country and Holly cannot follow. Big story for such a little dog.

Holly is a 5.5-year-old, Maltese-x. Because of the recent upheaval in her life – a life that has had too many disruptions already, Holly is in a Foster home. We are trying to put the wag back in her tail. We know that Holly needs work on toilet training; she needs a patient, caring person who will commit to her for the rest of her life. The drama must have a happy ending this time. More info to follow on Holly....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, a Ile-Perrot Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Ile-Perrot, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Ile-Perrot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ile-Perrot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ile-Perrot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ile-Perrot paves the way for another one to be saved.
