Charlie's Story...
Looking for a sweet kitty to be your bff? I thought I had found mine, but then they moved and left me behind. I’m neutered already and updated on all my shots thanks to the good sam who is taking care of me. It’s been okay living outside, but the cold weather will be here before you know it. Wish I could go inside, but her cats don’t like me. I might not even be able to stay here outside much longer ‘cause they’re so upset. She really wants to find me a good home though and will drive as far as necessary to get me there. Please contact Karen at ksurdu@verizon.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Columbia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
