My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morris is a 30 lb. Bassett Hound-Beagle mix rescued from the Ramona Shelter. His owner turned him in because in truth they just wanted a summer family dog but once things got going in September, “We just don’t have time for him.” Morris is probably age two. Some of his paperwork says three but there’s just no way. The other paperwork says one and a half. I’m pretty good at this and I say he’s two. Words to describe Morris are fun, happy, playful and goofy. He is the life of the party! He is a very upbeat, well-socialized dog with a sweet, loving, affectionate side. He loves to play (run around) with the other dogs or by himself with toys. He’s comical; he will bring you a toy, looking up at you with the toy in his mouth, or can be seen running around with his tongue flapping in the wind with a big happy grin on his face. Morris also knows how to settle down on a pet bed near you while you work on the computer. He likes to hang out with you. Morris is crate-trained and potty-trained (however potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment). He would make a great doggie friend to your already existing dog, or can be placed with a more or less active family with older kids. Morris is best placed in a conventional home with a secured fenced yard to play and run around in – no apartments or condos or townhomes please. Morris lives in a foster home with two other dogs and a kitten.

Morris is neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated including rabies, and will be micro-chipped prior to adoption. If you are interested in Morris, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com . The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail. Please visit my website at: http://www.angelsheartdogrescue.com and go to the Adoption Tab to read about the adoption process and fees; thank you!
