Lana's Story...
Meet Lana, a pretty lady who loves people! Lana is an adult (3-5 yr old) medium size (48 lbs) lab-retriever mix who somehow ended up on the streets, looking for her next family. She walks well on a leash and she's easy to handle. She's a smart gal who's eager to explore her new
surroundings, but she'd rather be exploring her new neighborhood with her forever family.

She's ready to leave her kennel behind and settle in for some serious snuggling. Come down to meet Lana!

Act quickly to adopt Lana. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lana, a Philadelphia Retriever (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
