Mabel's Story...
This beautiful little lady is Mabel, a 2 1/2 year old beagle that is hoping for a wonderful home of her own. Mabel was found as a stray and was quite thin and exhausted. Since coming in, she has received lots of good meals and plenty of TLC, and she is singing her happy beagle tune again! Mabel is truly such a sweetheart. She was a bit shy at first, but all it takes is for you to show this little girl some kindness and she will be your best friend for life. Mabel is extremely affectionate, gentle and loving. She just wants to be with you and get a little attention. Mabel is so well behaved too. She walks perfectly on a leash and was a perfect little lady for her grooming and manicure. Mabel likes her playtime in our exercise yard and will even toss around a toy or two, but she prefers to be by your side, or better yet, curled up in your lap. Mabel doesn't seem to mind other dogs or cats, and loves people of all ages. This sweet little lady is so deserving of a fresh start in life with a family that will love her forever.....maybe you'll be that lucky family! File#22776 8/24/13

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mabel, a Forked River Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
