Haas & Kirby's Story...
Haas and Kirby are a very special pair of dogs... Haas is a Saint Bernard mix and is very old! But he's not ready to go to rainbow bridge yet. He loves a nice leisurely walk and gets excited (well as excited as the big boy can) when he gets a big marrow bone to chew on. This big sweet baby was treated for heartworm and is VERY VERY bonded to his sidekick, Kirby. Kirby is a lab/shep/who knows what else mixed female who adores Haas! She waits patiently for him to get up and walks slowly with him. We realize Haas may not have a lot of time left but Kirby is only about 3 yr old. These two desperately need a home TOGETHER where Haas can live out what time he has left being loved and with his best friend, Kirby.. To say these are sweet dogs is just such an understatement! You will never meet a nicer, more gentle dog than Haas and Kirby is also very sweet! If you have the room in your heart and home for this pair, PLEASE contact us!!
Even if you are willing to foster the pair, this would be wonderful!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Haas & Kirby, a Silver Spring St. Bernard/Bullmastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Bullmastiff for sale in Silver Spring, or seeking a St. Bernard/Bullmastiff dog from a breeder in Silver Spring.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Silver Spring already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Silver Spring breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Bullmastiff breeders who help with St. Bernard/Bullmastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Silver Spring paves the way for another one to be saved.
