Silky Terrier Puppy for adoption in Dayton, Ohio - Rita

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Rita's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rita's Story...
Rita is a 1-2 year old Silky Terrier. She weighs about 12 lbs, and
her coat will be gorgeous when it grows out. When this adorable
little girl came to us, she was so matted that she could barely move.
She was found in the woods, tangled in the chain around her neck,
which was also tangled into the underbrush. She is now safe and warm
in her loving foster home. Rita loves people, and wants to be with
you constantly. Her behavior with other furbabies has been erratic -
sometimes she acts ferocious toward them, and sometimes she ignores
them. We are sure this is a result of neglect and abuse in her
previous life, so a home where she can be an "only child" would be
best. Rita is not a barker. She likes to play and give kisses and is
housetrained. She likes going for walks. She needs an adult home of
her own where she can be spoiled rotten! Wouldn't you like to have
this sweet little Silky Terrier?
She will do best in a household as an only dog. Please visit our website for more information, photos and to apply to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rita, a Dayton Silky Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Dayton, or seeking a Silky Terrier puppy from a breeder in Dayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
