My story

Meet Sam!
Sam is a 4 year old male black lab who loves to snuggle! He weighs about 80 pounds but thinks of himself as a lap dog. He has been tied up most of his life and shuffled around, but he is an absolute lover and would enjoy nothing more than spending the entire day with his human.
Sam is an active boy and loves being outdoors hiking and exploring. Sam enjoys the water, but doesn’t know how to fetch or play with toys yet. He has a good recall when off-leash, and he checks in often on hikes to make sure his human is still with him.
Sam is looking for someone who is willing to take him out every day for a run or hike, and then allow him to come inside and snuggle all night. He does very well in the house and is asking that he not be left outside, as he has already done that in his life. He is wonderful with kids and other dogs, but not sure about cats. He needs to be reminded every once in a while about his manners, but he responds well and is learning quickly!
Sam is requesting that any potential adopters have a fenced yard, as he has some noise anxieties and also thinks he should chase cars. He is getting a lot better about this habit with training, and with more work he will continue to improve. He also tends to be a lot calmer and not want to chase when he is tired, so exercise is a must! He would love to meet you and have some snuggle time, so come visit soon!
